Drone Pre-Flight Brief
A timestamped, shareable brief: weather for your window, rain, airport observation, airspace, NOTAMs and your decision.

What you get
A pre-flight brief is a one-page record of what you knew when you decided to fly. Fill in the plan and your own checks; UAV Meteo adds the data and freezes it:

The brief gets its own unlisted link — send it to a client, site supervisor, instructor or colleague — and prints cleanly or saves as a PDF from the Print button.
Why the weather is fetched for you
The weather section isn't copied from your screen: when you create the brief, UAV Meteo fetches the forecast, rain data and airport report itself and stores them with the exact time they were retrieved. That makes the brief a trustworthy answer to the question "what did we know when we decided?" — useful for clients, insurers, internal reviews and your own learning.
Frozen, not live
A brief never changes. The database rejects edits, so the link always shows the same record. If the plan or the weather changes, create a new brief; the old one stays as the record of the earlier decision. To see conditions now, use the dashboard or Flight Window — Flight Window also has a button that turns its result straight into a brief.
What UAV Meteo does not check
- Airspace and NOTAMs. The brief records what you checked. Use your national source — see our airspace page for where to look, and the NOTAM Reader to decode notices.
- Your aircraft. Use your pre-flight checklist for the physical checks; the brief documents the operational picture, not the airframe.
- Local rules. Requirements for registration, operator categories, authorisations and record keeping depend on where you fly and what kind of operation it is.
Privacy and retention
Briefs are stored at an unlisted random link and are not linked to you or your device. They are deleted automatically after 24 months — save a PDF if you need to keep a record longer. Please don't put personal data in the free-text fields.
