• Current, hourly and daily weather data (temperature, wind, cloud cover, precipitation probability, visibility, sunrise/sunset) is provided by Open-Meteo, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Open-Meteo aggregates data from national weather services including NOAA, DWD, ECMWF and others.
• Alternate weather models/sources selectable via the weather-model picker (where enabled) are provided by Open-Meteo's model selection (ECMWF IFS, NOAA GFS, DWD ICON) and MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's open Locationforecast API.
• City search and location lookups use the Open-Meteo Geocoding API.
• Reverse geocoding (converting your coordinates into a place name) is provided by the free client-side BigDataCloud reverse-geocode API.
• Air quality (US AQI) data is provided by the Open-Meteo Air Quality API, also licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Planetary Kp index (geomagnetic activity) data — the official 3-hour planetary Kp shown as the primary figure, plus NOAA's faster-updating 1-minute estimated nowcast shown as a secondary reference — is provided by NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, a public service of the U.S. government. An alternate Kp source, where enabled, is provided by GFZ Potsdam, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Visible-satellite counts are computed from GPS/GLONASS/Galileo orbital element sets (TLEs) published by CelesTrak, propagated using the open-source satellite.js library (SGP4/SDP4). Daylight/twilight timing is computed with the open-source SunCalc library.
