No liability for flight decisions

UAV Meteo is provided for general situational awareness only. It is not a certified aviation weather briefing service and must not be used as the sole basis for a decision to fly. Weather models and space-weather data can be delayed, incomplete, or locally inaccurate. Conditions at your exact location and altitude may differ from what is shown.

By using this site you agree that the operators of UAV Meteo accept no responsibility or liability for any injury, property damage, regulatory violation, loss of aircraft, or other loss or damage of any kind arising from reliance on information displayed here. You are solely responsible for verifying conditions yourself, following your drone manufacturer's operating limits, and complying with all applicable aviation authority rules (e.g. FAA, EASA, CAA, Transport Canada or your local equivalent) before every flight.

Flyability ratings are general guidance

The good / caution / not-suitable thresholds used throughout the app (see our flying guide) are general-purpose defaults chosen for typical consumer and prosumer multirotor drones. They are not tailored to any specific aircraft, payload, pilot skill level, or jurisdiction, and may be adjusted over time as we refine the product.

No warranty

This site and its data are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Data sources & credits

UAV Meteo is an independent project and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Open-Meteo, NOAA, BigDataCloud, CelesTrak, or any national aviation authority.

Airspace, no-fly zone & NOTAM information

UAV Meteo does not currently display live no-fly zone or airspace restriction data. Our airspace page links to official government and third-party tools for that purpose. Our NOTAM reader is a text decoder for NOTAMs you already have — it does not fetch, store, or provide live NOTAM data, and is not a substitute for an official pre-flight briefing. Always verify airspace restrictions and NOTAMs independently, through an authorized source, before flying.

Privacy

Your browser's geolocation permission is used only to fetch weather for your current position. Location lookups are proxied through our server to the third-party weather APIs listed above, but we do not log or store your coordinates server-side. Your last-used location and display preferences (units, theme, drone profile) are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not transmitted elsewhere by us. If analytics or advertising is enabled on this site, those third-party providers may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

Cookies & advertising

On your first visit you're asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies/local storage via the banner at the bottom of the screen. If you reject or take no action, no analytics or advertising scripts are loaded. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

Regardless of your choice, we use a small amount of essential local browser storage to run the site:

If you accept, we may additionally load:

For visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland: ad personalization there requires a properly certified consent mechanism under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. If this site serves personalized ads to you, it does so only once that requirement is met for your session — the accept/reject banner alone does not itself imply personalized ad consent in those regions.
